POS-060 CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE IN PEDIATRIC ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY SURVIVORS FROM INTENSIVE CARE UNIT: PROSPECTIVE STUDY FROM A DEVELOPING COUNTRY

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is an independent risk factor for mortality in critically il. Incidence of AKI PICU ranges from 8-30%. Despite advances therapy, still high and survivors are at CKD. A hospital based prospective cohort study was conducted on ill children neonates with admitted to SAT Hospital, a tertiary care teaching South India over period 1 year the objective assess immediate long term outcome involved adverse outcome. Adverse defined as or development CKD survivors. by pRIFLE nRIFLE criteria respectively neonates. Those pre-existing CAKUT were excluded. The demographic profile, etiology, organ dysfunction, inotrope support, mechanical ventilation, severity, need dialysis condition discharge assessed. Survivors followed up assessment blood pressure, proteinuria e GFR Schwartz formula 3 months, 6 months year. below 90 mL/min/1.73 m2 normal and/or hypertension used identify Statistical analysis done SPSS 20.0 .Chi square test discrete variables, t ANOVA quantitative variables. Univariate binary logistic regression factors affecting 155 babies- 87 68 diagnosed during period. Male Female ratio 4.1:1 new-born 1.8:1 children. Out 25.3% (22) risk, 43.7 % (38) 31 (27) had failure. Dehydration due faulty feeding lactation failure formed major cause neonatal (50.6%) septicaemia (28.7%). Of 17.7% (12), 23.5 (16) 58.8% (40) respectively. Glomerulonephritis etiology (23.5%) sepsis MODS (19.1%).
